TERM DEFINITIONS
Glossary
Definitions for the labels, filters, and trust notes used across PulseGate's catalog.
A
- Active products
- Live products in the current filter scope. Shown as the headline KPI on the homepage catalog card and updates whenever a category, language, or runtime filter changes.
- Apps indexed
- Total number of apps PulseGate currently tracks on the active surface. Synonymous with the footer Coverage tile and the homepage “Total indexed” meta line.
C
- Cadence
- The observed rate at which new entities land in the catalog, expressed as a 7-day rolling daily average.
- Catalog scope
- The set of apps reflected by a count or list given the active filters. Filter-aware counts (Active products) shrink with category or language filters; global counts (Tracked, Apps indexed) stay constant.

- Coverage
- The portion of the public software market that PulseGate currently tracks across its discovery sources.
F
- Freshness
- How recently the catalog or a specific entity was refreshed relative to the page you are viewing.
I
- Intake
- New entities or qualifying public evidence entering PulseGate’s tracked universe.
L
- Listed
- An entity that has cleared coverage rules and is eligible to appear on public surfaces.
- Live status
- The operational state of the platform, surfaced as the green “All systems operational” pill in the footer. Switches to amber when the health probe fails.
T
- Topic
- A subject or event cluster built from independent public sources covering related software.
- Tracked
- An entity that exists in PulseGate’s monitored universe — listed publicly or held for review.
W
- Window
- The time range used to display recent activity — new entries, updates, and freshness reflected in the visible counts.
